Moving from London to restore the property, the owners were keen to ensure that their renovations complement its architecture and surroundings.
Zinc-framed windows overlook rolling fields darted with lambs. Therefore, the kitchen design needed to work seamlessly with this beautiful setting.
The owners wanted a contemporary quality handcrafted kitchen that hints at a more traditional time.
Every little detail has been taken into account, from the burnished brass knobs and cup pulls on the cupboards to choosing just the right shade of blue to contrast with the white.
Adorning the cupboards and central island is a 30mm thick Bianco Eclipsia Quartzite stone worktop that adds texture to this time-honoured kitchen.
“Vale Designs have created a dream kitchen for our family. The attention to detail and best in class delivery, right to the the very end was super impressive.”Trevor Gill
Modern appliances, including a Novy Panorama induction hob with a ‘Rise Up’ draught extractor, are a nod to modern family living. Otherwise obscured, this clever extractor gracefully rises from the worktop when cooking to ventilate the space without obscuring the view of the fields.
A purposefully designed tall free-standing larder cupboard, complete with the owner’s preferred shelving design, is home to all those essential cooking ingredients.
Proudly nestled next to the larder and under the window offering the best views, is a free-standing sideboard on square legs with a solid oak top.
As a clever use of space and a lovely design feature, there’s a tall open cupboard next to the fridge freezer that neatly displays the owner’s wines and spirits.
“The team were professional, clever, responsive and really easy to work with. We highly recommend Vale Designs if you want a beautifully designed kitchen around your needs.”Trevor Gill
